Bluster

While sitting outside in the park I notice the dogs that will bark Are the ones whose small size Makes their outrage unwise And effective as shots in the dark. As the bigger dogs trot quickly by All that bluster, in ample supply, Goes unnoticed and yet, Every tiniest pet Thinks his prowess is hard to deny.

I call the little dogs "the little yippy dogs" and I also think of them as biting dogs, where as my 115 pound giant dog is a gentle giant, but his bark is mighty - a loud hoarse cough bark that sounds like the roof is on fire. I like your poem my friend

Yes, indeedy, Ilene, but it's still unwise to try and pet one while it's doing its "blustery" thing. Sometimes the tiniest jaws have the sharpest teeth. Great lims, by the way.

I love this one. Not only do they bark the most, but they think they should be treated like royalty.

My neighbor had a small dog that was'nt afraid of any dog. This reminds me of it.
