Notes About The Poem

Blushing Virgin Soul

Yes, you’ve touched my body, but you haven't touched my soul No, it wasn't deep enough To make this woman whole Yes, you've kissed my lips now but my pain you haven't kissed these scars that mark my being Each one, your lips have missed Yes, you’ve sated cravings but unsated are my dreams you've not immersed your being in thoughts that flow in streams Yes, you’ve breathed my scent now but you haven't been perfumed my fragrant feelings linger by them you’re not consumed I lie in the wake of union I lie here unknown, untouched my soul a blushing virgin with robes still tightly clutched Eileen Manassian

I'm searching through your attic and this is treasure that I found. Amazing, well thought out and I can say as a man, I've felt it too. Oh...and a FAV for me. Well done!!...............pat

If it does not work out right from the start, I doubt whether that soul will get its true share of love, Eileen. A lovely and touching poem which could be an eye-opener for some! Hugs // paul

Ahem... Damn! Eileen, i love this type of poetry.. I used to write like this when I was young and have posted some sensual ones on this site.. I personally dont believe they are as appreciated on here, however, I applaud you for posting this.. Its very sensual with powerful intimate imagery...

Or in the other sense *lol*. A fellow once told his lover he was hung like a horse, unfortunately for her it was a Sea Horse!

It sounds like he needs an emotional enlargement so he can penetrate more deeply. Some men are not fortunate to be endowed in this way.;0)

What a comment, Richard. You are clever with words, and yes...not many men are well endowed in this sense!

Welcome back, dear. It's good to know that you have decided to return. I remember writing a poem for you when you decided to leave...I was so sad. Now you are back. Welcome.

Thanks, dear. This act is one that gives the most opportunity for the sharing of body and soul...unfortunately, it sometimes become just a coupling of bodies. So much is lost in the process...

Yes, Jimbo. Inside a female's mind will certainly astonish. Love making is so much more than the physical act. It's so sad when it just remains...physical. Good to have a visit from you, dear.

Thank you. It wasn't easy, for some reason. I had to do several revisions, but I'm happy with the end result. The meter isn't perfect, but I had to incorporate some words that I felt would carry over that...Hugs, dear one.
