Notes About The Poem

POTW - 12/21/2025
Blue Moon
Sleeping next to me,
holding hands, soft fingers interrupting my thoughts.
Legs intertwined, nowhere else I’d rather be.
A daring moment shared in dusk.
Honest, caring, elegant.
Pitch black hair wrapped in a beautiful bow.
Dancing under the moonlight,
I can’t look away.
Sacred, everlasting love.
Holding me, craving this bond.
Winter is here,
The blue moon harvest arrives.
Ascending like a moth to a flame.
Floating amongst stranger clouds.
If I can’t hear the sound of your heartbeat,
I know this place is not my home.
A star breaker, tearing the skies apart.
Our fireworks, trapped in time capsules.
How can we share love in your reality?
Floating in space with you,
We journey across scattered stars.
Though I do not know the way.
In your reality,
If I don’t know how to love you,
I’ll leave you be.
