Blue Hen From Delaware

There was a hen from Delaware
Who purchased blue feathers to wear
She harboured a mania
To see Pennsylvania…
One state to another compare.

She heard there were Phillies at play
And diners where food was buffet
She found no utopia
Fell victim to phobia 
Whenever she drank Chardonnay.

Your blue feathered hen (The state bird of Delaware), was dying to compare the two states and heard the Phillies baseball team was going to be playing in Pennsylvania so went on the trip - but spoilt for choice, as both States had their good and bad points, she found no utopia, drank too much and fell victim to phobia - rather Delaware with its lovely beaches, non crowded areas, safer, cheaper, no sales tax - rather the devil you know.
