Blue Daisy

Delicate and beautiful
is sweet Daisy. She’s
like a flowers’ petals that
flutter in the breeze.

Like a daisy’s center part -
yellow as the sun -
she is bright and cheerful, for
she’s a lucky one.

Every evening, with a smile,
she is at the door -
waiting for the handsome man
who she calls “Amor.”

They embrace when he arrives
from his job each night.
Always when he sees his wife,
she’s a welcome sight.

Friday is their special time -
dinner out in lieu
of his wife’s great cooking and
she’ll be wearing blue!

That’s her favorite color, so
date night with her spouse,
Daisy wears a bright blue dress
or blue skirt with blouse.

Yellow is the silken hair
falling round her face.
Other times, her hair is up.
Both styles show her grace.

“Ah, you’ve got on dancing shoes,”
hubbie says to her.
“Will we dance tonight?” she asks,
her voice like a purr.

Never does her spouse say no
to his precious queen.
That night they will be the pair
the most joyful seen!

Blue her eyes will shine for him
like the sapphire stone
that he bought to give to her
when they’re all alone.

Every day his actions say
that he will stay true.
“You are my Blue Daisy,” he
whispers. “I love you.”

A fantasy perhaps? A husband that never says "no" and has a happy ending:) Your upbeat personality is all over this one. Almost makes me angry somebody could be so cheerful. Lol It is a sweet fairy tale write, Andrea. Good luck!

Yes, Danny, it's every woman's dream (at least the old fashioned woman's!) It's also a fable with a moral: if a man were to treat his wife this way (and she were a good woman) their marriage would indeed be heaven because that is the turn on for a woman, just to be listened to and loved like this.
