                             ... here we go again

"Driving Home For Christmas"
                             ... with headache and pain
"Last Christmas"
                             ... I feel drowned in the deep sea

"Santa Claus Is Coming To Town"
                             ... the truth of the story is the key
"Happy Xmas"
                              ... a contrast between your heart so cold

"Rockin 'around The Christmas Tree"
                              ... with your shoes of fake gold

"I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus"
                              ... I saw embraced in a brutal stranglehold
"O Holy Night"
                              ... surrounded by lies as told
"White Christmas"
                              ... while darkness descends  uncontrolled

"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"

As for a blue Christmas, Pixie Dust's poem has Mrs. Santa coloring Santa's hair blue - so is blue the secret code to Christmas? Your rendition makes me sad, come spend Christmas with us! Carolyn Devonshire November 21, 2018 at 4:36 AM There is no joy in the Christmas you describe, Sunshine, and the holiday probably seems this way to a grief-stricken person. That feeling of "drowning" as darkness descends is well conveyed throughout and your final two lines are a fitting conclusion. Best wishes in the contest, Hon.
