Blowing a Kiss To You
I imagine you a reflection of your word
A dashing picture with buckle and sword
Ready to defend those in your world.
I see you too conjuring up a keyword,
Creating anew a poem for the Soup’s record.
I am here and you are there yet with one accord
We poets are, among those who have restored
Dazzling glory to poetry and have scored
Comments like those from you to spread abroad
Your eloquence that spellbind with golden cords.
Words like kisses borne on wind have soared,
From your world to mine, reading I’m never bored;
That is why I’m blowing a kiss to you.
