Bliss

I’m in bliss
Aren’t you baby girl
The little girl twiddles her thumbs
 Mommy what’s does bliss mean”
 Why happiness of course baby
A smile painted my face
The little girl cracks a smirk
And busts into a fit of laughter
Well mommy
I’m in bliss everyday
I smile
*Knock knock knock*
I get up and run down stairs to open the door
The little girl follows along
I open the door
we scream a Hello together in unison
a presence I had longed to forget
emerging at the entrance of my very own home
I tremble
I push my baby back
Who is that mommy?
The man leans over and whispers
Aren’t you in bliss…
