Blink Out

Life can feel
       like free-falling
           face first
              into the wind.
                You can’t control its
                   duration
                    or speed,
                     so, why try?
                    Enjoy
                   the weightless
                 sensation
              of flight as you fall,
           aware that someday your
       life...
will simply blink out.

This is beyond amazing, deserving of the POTD. This is the kind of thing I only dream of writing. Thanks for all the inspiration you've given all of us here, Emile.

I truly enjoyed this free-falling poem, Emile. Perhaps I ought to have a go at parachute jumping, and enjoy the weightless sensation of flight! Congrats on p.o.t.d. award. Regards // paul

Way to capture words as form follows the idea of free fall as well. Loved it!! Yalto is a challenge, and your idea fits it sensationally (literally). Lonna
