Blinded Till the End of Time

We have been here as one, bonded by oaths, Suffering and smiling, smoking and drinking beer, Because we got a lot of things to bear, Yesterday, we rose to limelight, Today, we are neglected and broken. We are brothers, comrades and not just youths The suicidal feelings are ripping us apart, We have pains slowing our heart beats, The vision of self actualization fades, And the ephialtes with its torments has set in, Many of us can’t understand why we were born here. Our bodies are scarred by too many bullet and stabbed wounds, Our minds can no longer stand the confusion and betrayals, Especially this day that the trust, love and hope are gone, Gone into a deep poisoned well, Where our children will still drink from. I can’t cheer up now, Because I know the worst is here, I feel it in my heart, soul and body, Religion, culture and politics, Have killed and left us to see but blinded till the end of time.
