Blind to the Storm

The world
spins itself,
a tapestry of tongues
in the sky,
and she cries
for the people
who close their eyes
to the storms.

Year after year
darkness
ensues fear,
a song of ignorance
sung loud and clear.

The world
spins itself,
a mosaic of faces
and in the sky,
she cries,
for the people
to open their hearts
and know her truth.
