Blind Insecurity

"BLIND INSECURITY"

“what’s up?” I asked her.
“I was asleep but I heard
the phone.”
“your phone volume is up?
why do you keep it silent
when you’re here with me
but loud over there where
you lay?”
“are you starting already?”
“call me later when you’re
awake. I didn’t mean to
wake you up.”
“I’m up… and by the way,
I could ask you the same
thing.”
“I’ll talk to you later.”
“you don’t have to talk to
me at all!”

a few hours later…

she said, “I called you.
what happened?”
“I was on the phone.”
“with who ?!?!”
“are you starting already?”
“so you can ask me
questions but I can’t ask
you?”
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
ha ha ha
“you see? responses can
start problems. lesson
learned.”
she was quick: “there’s
no lesson here, I didn’t
do s??t.”
