Blind

losing my sight without a fight. a disease that spreads within me damaging my eyes I can’t see clearly like before it’s beyond my control all I do is stare….. wondering about the glare following me everywhere a fear sets in as it begins to take control I need some thing to hold. with each steps I take I wonder if I will fall…. will I break a bone? hesitate all I do is hesitate…. things are not the same anymore….. my eyes are dying behind close doors what does the future hold? I don’t know

Hello Wanda, I am so sorry you have to deal with this disease. Does it have a name? Macular degeneration? What medical help are you able to get for it? This is a great, moving poem about it. God bless you, Jennifer
