Blessing in Everything

First, He stripped me of my knees Thank the Lord, I didn’t wheeze Then He robbed me of my sight I thanked the Lord for the peaceful night Next my hearing dimmed I thanked the Lord for gossip trimmed And when my mind began to go I thanked Him for what I didn’t know

loved the insight in your words and the powerful message of being grateful in all things. I especially liked the last verse...never had that perspective. I pray for that kind of gratitude and strength.

There is a legendary figure, Reb Zusya of Anipoli. He had no arms or legs. A skeptic who had endless complaints about his lot in life was advised to go see Reb Zusya for advice. When the skeptic saw Zusya, he gasped, telling Reb Zusya that he was so sorry for him. Zusya responded, 'Why? I have everything I need in life.'
