Blessed Children Nursery Rhyme
There’s a child who is indeed very blest
Showing high fives gladly with thankful zest
Using sign language to speak
Laughing loud as he does shriek
To say “Praise God*, King of kings, the Highest!”
There’s a boy who tries hard to exercise
He prays to the Lord so that he can rise
Reaching upward to the sky
Feeling he can truly fly
Along his wheel chair prize of no surprise.
There’s a girl who thanks God for her two hands
Allowing her well to play rubber bands
Left and right to make strong knots
While counting boxes of dots
Forgetting to fix her pretty hair strands.
There’s a lad who always plays with delight
While his pets stay asleep in broad day light
Enjoying their rest so sweet
Unmindful of birds that tweet
Since the Almighty protects; and that’s right.
*Psalm 150:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
