Blast of Winter

Blast of winter Chills the air. Fresh air nips As nostrils flare. Shiver in cold, Breathe in deep As winters ice Into bones, seep. Stare towards Lacey sky As snowflakes fall From on high. Beautiful winter Takes her hold, Demanding awe As we behold.

Francine, those of us who live in the South often envy the beautiful sight of snow. The bone-chilling winds, though, we can do without. Enjoyed your poem! Love, carolyn

At this time of year, you don't have to be Canadian to write this descriptively. You have captured a typical North American winter with this nice ensemble of words.

You captured my "yesterday" nothing like a Canadian winter day and yet, although we are freezing "it is so beautiful to behold" ~~
