"The crumple from the heartbreak,
Tears from it’s muscle
Coordinating the blare of the crumpled papers
Searching for synonyms on a blank mind
All while staring at a blank page.
Staring out the window for a ray of hope
Only clouds fill the sky with chains
Begging God this was only a awful dream,
Is this truly how the roots get pulled up?
Years of time spent growing it’s seed,
Yanked from my hands like a piece of paper.
Trying to gather my mind around this event,
Words don’t seem to flood in like I thought.
I’m squishing my heart, without knowing it.
Everything that once had feelings, numb to the touch
Silently weeping over all the words said,
Trying to call words to my conscious,
All I do is stare, a blank paper lies in front of me."
