Blame It On the Rain
For each time tough
teardrops fall from your
eyes
for each night your still
stream screams out loud,
for each dusk that your
lovely light cannot be proud
blame it on the rain that
storm your scene, oh skies.
For each time the green
grasses grow like wild fire,
for each season the streets
go to sleep too early,
for each night you cannot
see through the window
clearly,
blame it on the rain, that
made sweet sights to retire.
For each time, the sunlight
could not smile at noon,
for each time the stars
cannot sparkle at twilight,
for each time the sweet
singing sparrows take
flight,
blame it on the rain... when
at dusk you find no moon.
When cold carresses your
skin as you lay in you bed,
when the warmth of the
wind has been stolen,
when the soothing skies is
soiled and swollen,
blame it on the rain that
you had to hide your head.
