Blame Games
If you slosh wet shoes in the house
you blame it on the rain of course
If you forget to put the garbage out
you blame it on their morning route
If you arrive at work too late
you blame it on the traffic rate
If you should forget to shut the door
you blame it on your thumb that's sore
If you forget to bring your umbrella
you call the weatherman a stupid fella
If you forget to fill your tank
you blame it on the bloody bank
but if you forget your wife's birthday again
please don't blame it on the rain
