Blacky
BLACKY
Blacky is a large (of course black) black cat
Who simply takes with me (and little else) his room
and board
With food he never strikes a mood
His passion is shrimp shrimp in all his food
Blacky is bored easily as are the main feline brood
He eats he sleeps he’d talk if he could
Petting is first loved then tolerated
Too much affection Blacky is sated (ho hum)
But let those tiny silky tail-fins stick out of a bowl
He’s dancing around and ready to roll
Oh, then, how he loves then how he rushes
then how he nudges prances brushes!
He’ll give me to know I’m his dearest friend
His antics (of the moment) never bend
Never fear his affections are merely on lend
For once bottomed out that is the end
At least temporarily
