Blackie Lives On

We had a dog whose name was Blackie, So extraordinary and wacky, With energy like a horse, She used to run with full force, Soft and playful, but fierce with strangers, She protected us from all dangers, She saw every tear that I shed, Listened to every word I said, Was our closest companion, A tough and true champion, With us, she was there ten years, When she died, we all shed tears, I'm sure we will see her in the thousand year rule, Playing with a dangerless lion, feeling cool. 08.16.2020 Contest: All pets go to heaven Sponsor: Constance La France

Congratulations on your win. When I was three I had a dog that was called Blackie. At the time, she was my best friend. Have you read the Rainbow Bridge for pets. Our two Blackies are waiting for us. Enjoy your win and day..................

Blackie sounds like a wonderful pet, Jo! Isn't it amazing how pets seem to hang on our every word while people around us aren't interested? I'm sure you still miss her. A lovely entry for Constance's contest. She's sure to appreciate your love for Blackie! Best wishes in the contest, Carolyn
