Blackberries

Blackberries big as my thumb

  Grew along our country lane

    I'd fill a pail for my Mom

      For her to deal with


She'd fix blackberries with cream

  And jams for her fresh baked bread

    Plus luscious blackberry pies

      Gratifying me
