Sweetie, I like the haiku modern forms and the image you painted is much like the one I just read in Gert's poem. I have never seen a black lotus, but now I feel as they I've seen a painting of one. Beautiful! Love, Carolyn

You did not stick to the 5 7 5 format. However, I like this short poem. There is a marvelous pond in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens with flowers in it and goldfish. I look foward to seeing it again next spring. Peace & Love Matthew Anish
