BLACK HISTORY MONTH WITHIN
Standing as a reminder
Being a Minority I am
Heritage establishes me
Created from the beginning for the world to see
Born with a purpose
Taught through education
Ancestor’s promise
Fulfill and Achieve
Their recognition my reason
Negativity is not a stop
Positivity is all ambitions go
Watch me through effort
Observe as I achieve
Just like my Forefathers did then
I am the now
Black History Month is a following
The center in believing
Odds maybe against me
I live beyond past tense
My movement spells opportunity
Advance Enterprises chance
Ready Or not here I am
Taking my place where I belong
Virtues and Values
Black History Month solid ground
My footsteps planted
Determination high
No stops calling all the shots
One can stand still, but courage to step out
Black History Within
The Shall, Can and Will.
