Black Fryday

the inlaws and outlaws have left
the turkey has so much less heft
got pies for the flies
and naps for the eyes
the icebox has suffered from theft

but

still got ‘nuff leftovers to make peach gobbler

I remember about 8 or 9 of us young soldiers watching Dallas play one thanksgiving way back — we were huddled around one those early portable TV's — it had a 5 inch screen! Black & white.
