Black Creation

If it is true that we are made from the dust of this Earth then of course it stands That the blacker the soil The blacker the skin, and the richer the spirit contained within And of course the best place for our roots to begin We are black because God took the man and woman and sculpted then from the darkest substance the Earth had to offer Their shoulders, their lips, hips, feet, The hair sprang from their heads like thick jungle canopies And every curl was a limb twisting and reaching it's way towards the sky He made their skins to reflect the sun so that heaven could be seen in the flesh The were dark and they were perfect God breathed his spirit into them and they awoke And as they stood there in the Garden of Eden, God spoke to them and said "My children, this is the Lord thy God that has created you...you have been made flawlessly and in our image to be masters over all this land It is yours You need not work or toil in the fields The Earth will provide for you everything you could ever need and will replenish herself I have also made you and given you life so that you may praise me and establish my kingdom here on Earth And your bodies were constructed for this very purpose Dance, for you are nimble Let your bodies swing and bend gracefully like trees in the wind Let your limbs be as strong as the Biggest trunks Your hair like leaves in a breeze Move your hips Move your feet Flick your wrists Bring forth the fruit of your lips and let soulful songs be lifted from your tongues and rise to the heaven Use the air in your lungs to create an atmosphere of praise Become the instruments of celebration May the heart of you beat in the drums Exhibit a liveliness of spirit and natural rhythm and allow yourselves to be free Laugh Love yourselves & each other for again, you are made in my image Be fruitful and multiply And your children will have this Earth as their birthright" And so God had created the black man and woman to be rulers & our spirits to be unrestrained and robust So that we may praise him to the fullest And set us in dominion over the Earth....
