Black Beauty

Bright star like eyes that twinkle
And lovely long onyx hair of clouds
A sky of black skin with wisdom wrinkles
A proud walk like a sea breeze that shouts

Who are you black beauty of this earth
How majestic is your mahogany mood
They envy your style you know your worth
Your smile white and wild cure’s the blues

You birth generations of people so strong
Defying the odds and blessed still by God
The way you speak inspires silver song
Hidden away in a purple poetic heart

To know you is to love you and remember
Touch so soft unconditional love so tender

I think that you write about the power and beauty and the luster of black people better than anyone on this site, Karen. It's really your forte. My advice: Pursue this avenue. You have that special undefinable 'something' called 'It.' Really and Truly, Gershon

Wow! You really believe in me and that is golden! I appreciate your support and will consider your advice. My mom likes this poem but I thought she was just patronizing me lol!
