Black And White Investigation

Black and white investigation,
finger curls and a curtain of lies.
All the badge wants is the truth,
while his heart could care less.

Black and white interrogation,
sullen eyes meet silken gloves.
The facts are straight forward,
so why can’t we uncover them?

Black and white confession,
it’s impossible to take it all in.
How is femininity so violent?
A cigarette, a mask of burns.

Black and white sentencing,
now both have become victims.
For you see they are magnets,
drawn close by opposing sides.
