Black and White

A long, dark, lonely night. The aroma of my black coffee. A scary black cat. The color of the pen I use to write. The color of my hair flowing around me. The fluttering wings of a bat. As white as the snow. The cauliflower that I eat. My teeth, so sparkling clean. The rice that farmers grow. The sugar in my cake, how sweet! An arctic wolverine. Mix black and white together, you get gray. The color of my grandma's hair. The thunder clouds outside. The color of the newspaper I read every day. The color of the blouse I wear. Let's end America's racial divide.
