Bittersweet Nineseventeen Pm
I was in the hospital delivery suite
On November 20th 1993
A day I’ll never forget
At nine seventeen PM
You took your first breath
As I pushed you into the world
My son, my precious son
I cried tears of joy
You were in a room at Hospice
November 20th 1993
A day I’ll never forget
At nine seventeen PM
You took your final breath
And departed this world
Sadly you never got to meet your only grandson
I cried tears of sadness
Fictional poem, but sadly my father in law died before my son was born ... his first and only grandchild
