Bitter Truth
it will chew you up and spit you out
then sit courtside and watch as you stomp
and pout
make no mistake it's a dog-eat-dog world
that vicious growl with tightened jaws will get
stronger when dreams try to unfurl
bitter... so bitter... just so bitter
maybe this explains the countless number of
quitters
but out there, believe it or not, there is sweet love.
somewhere
you just have to find it, SO ZOOM, but know that the search
can be bitterly unfair
