Bitter Tasteless acceptance

My tears are all I’m worth,
All my worth must be my service,
While the pain I feel must be “love”
So many warnings my heart screamed at me,
But my head kept demanding me to agree,
To “feel better”,
But I’m no better since day one,
The day my first ex manipulated me,
Looking back,
She never knew me,
Nothing more then “loving” Tohru,
Nothing more the a joyous boy,
What id give to feel better,
To take back all my time,
All those “I love you”
I meant every last one too…,
But like my painful mantras,
“I’d never see the light of truth”
That feeling of comfort to far from me,
My worth just isn’t enough for human decency.
