Birthday Girl

Young beauty on the cusp of womanhood, head in the clouds, dreams in her eyes. She ponders life - her life. Why was she born? What will she become? Will she get married? Will she have kids? She shrugs her shoulders and runs off to play with her friends. For my granddaughter Hannah who just turned 12. 3/20/17 Entered in Laura Loo's Any Poem Written in March not for a contest.
