FIRST PLACE

I wrote Dad's Workshed in 1997 before PS and posted it to PS
as my first poem around 2008, but my poems pre 2012
got deleted and I reposted the poem in 2015.

Poetry is indeed cathartic. While you weep, you write. As you write the hearts of fellow poets go out to you. Hugs and congrats. I can picture your Dad’s workshed.

Very moving Constance, memories are the keepsakes of a loved one who’s passed. Poetry is a way of expressing sad feelings, it helps one through the process of healing… Beryl

aww Constance this is such a touching piece, as you know i never wrote before my husband was actually in cancer surgery, guess it was these difficult events that were the right time for us to pick up our pen. I have written my poem I will post it in the next few days. i am back to writing again now i don't have the book to focus on anymore:-) hugs Ja x
