Notes About The Poem

Birth of Me

My time is almost here, and with a BANG I’ll make my entrance here, upon this earth. You’ll see me on the calendars you hang and celebrate my infancy with mirth as through each time zone, early morn at twelve I’m being born. A whole day it will take! I’ll smile to see so many of you delve into the resolutions that you make, for good intentions often come to naught. Before you know it, I’ll be old and grey, and you’ll look back, recalling what I’ve wrought. Just learn to love each other day by day; I’m but a small piece of eternity. Get ready, World, for it’s the birth of ME! Dec. 31, 2017 for Kim Rodrigues' "New Year 2018" contest
