Notes About The Poem

I wrote this for two wonderful poets on soup, who just had a beautiful baby on Christmas Eve! I cant help but think what a wonderful time to celebrate a birth, and even the poem holds some melancholy, is because what a joy it is for all people, when a new child is born, it brings joy, and reminds of us the purpose of life. The older we get the more precious  we see life and when I saw this wonderful photo of James, I could feel the emotions and love. James and Olive, you have the very best of Christmas gifts, Merry Christmas both of you!!!

Birth - For Olive and James Fraser

Christmas bells ring
that time of year
even lonely
I feel good will and cheer

Festive lights around the house
at home this Christmas eve
should we not celebrate
Lovers past and friends long gone?

Carols sung, and church bells ring
is that wondrous time of year
however I have secret information's
that will bring you all great cheer!

There was born this night a babe
in my homeland Scotland of the brave
battles now only glorious history
for peace my friends bring to you

They have a child, beauty so pure
sleeping in daddies arms
remember this day, I beg you all
peace on earth this child shall bring

Some, not many days to sing
Nor many hopes for spring
I ask you all, remember this glorious day
Two poets pure made an angel ever sweet

From baby seeds to gods bouquet
and this my friends is the true meaning
of all other Christmas's past
loving our children so young and pure

so that all of humanity lasts
