A genre of separation Indian poems.

The weather is gloomy, Clouds are weeping with raindrops, My heart is eagerly waiting to see my lover, The wait never sees its end. There are no words to describe my love for you, Without you, only darkness I see around, Sometimes wind in stormy rain, Sings how much I miss you on this day. The promising love and sprouting close feelings, Are getting dormant as I don’t find you nearby, Our love is like a vine, which needs a wall to adhere it to, Separation is painful to the yearning heart all the time. With hope in the waiting heart and eyes, One day I will sing this Birha to you.
