Bird's Eye-View

The ostrich hides her head in the sand
most birds hit the skies as planned

The woodpecker pecks at some woody-good-wood
while the hummingbird’s wings hum as they should

The robin comes out to strut her stuff
back in she goes, the ground's too tough

And, O, for a pair of cardinals
to fly to the edge of the Dardanelles

Flying creatures inspire and exhilarate, you see
except when they tinkle all over me

I enjoyed these bird’s perspectives. Very cleverly presented.

Did you never wonder why there are shotguns ;-) Actually, the pleasure I get from watching birds more than compensates for the occasional splat… can’t say I’m sorry that the ostrich can’t fly. A fun one, GW

Just avoid the Pelicans because they are a very large birds who eat a lot of fish. I enjoyed reading your nature work. Very impressive. Thanks for your visits to my page. Sara K

Was thinking it might be good luck. Though maybe at that moment in time it wasn't. Put the lottery on, anyhow.
