Birds and Bees, and Butterflies

Birds and bees, and butterflies…
warm embraces, endless sighs,
hearts aflutter, loving eyes -
communing under dreary skies.

Warm embraces, endless sighs,
enchantment in sublime retreat;
communing under dreary skies -
October doldrums turning sweet.

Enchantment in sublime retreat,
hearts aflutter, loving eyes;
October doldrums turning sweet -
birds and bees, and butterflies.

*this pantoum has gone through a bit of a transformation, like the butterfly, to become something a little more pleasing to my own eyes and ears ~ So, if it looks a little different from first reading, you are not imagining things ;)

Your poem though autumn themed feels like a slice of springtime which is just what is needed on a dreary day like this. You could have stopped with the first verse and this would have been perfect.
