Bird Bath

Bird Bath The Mother Robin sat there on the fence When the rain began to pour, she began to dance She spread her wings then jumped up and down She lifted her feathers and shook the water around She did the dance twice, then flew back to her nest Puddle baths are good, but rain showers are best. (This was fun to watch :)

(This was fun to read) Lenna, this was so cute and so whimsical. I love watching the birds when I turn on a sprinkler and the play in the streams of water. Your poem is as beautiful as seeing this dance performed. You have such a knack for capturing nature in a wonderful and happy way.

Thank You Chris :) I've been busy enjoying the outdoors, especially on the island that is owned by my son-in-law and his family. Nothing but nature, family and friends.

Absolutely charming Lenna I love to watch them bathe in the rain but the sparrow here also seem to have 'mud baths' as they cover themselves in the dusty soil in the garden and get it everywhere!:-) hugs jan xx

As I read this I am looking out my window at a Kookaburra sitting on the fence, dripping wet and looking fat. Love seeing the birds in the rain. Nice poem. Regards, Craig
