Bipolar Rollercoaster Ride

Get on board this ride
It’s intense, might die
We might be shining
Shining as we fly

But check the weather
Could be chance of rain
Chance of suicide
If you take this train

It’s like nothing you
You have ever done
You have ever felt
Dancing in the sun

No one’s a stranger
All is fine, serene
Like cocaine and speed
I know what I mean

But you take a risk
One you can’t escape
Might slit your wrists now
If decided to take

Sick, bleed all over
Over those who care
Who love you and me
So now do you dare?

I grew up with my dad who suffered from the disorder. He inspired my book "DUMMY, Hurtful and Healing Words".
