Speedy Bill was often apprehended
For driving faster than recommended.
He paid officers no heed
Even increased his speed.
Now he’s on a wall decidedly distended.

Haha! Serves the fool right, in my opinion. I love how effortlessly many of your limericks read! I have to work hard to achieve same. Thanks for posting it. Best to you / M

Thank you, Maurice. Your kind, thoughtful comments always lift my spirits. And as for your poems, they are rich in wisdom and insight. I learn something each time I read one of them.

Opps - humourous but sadly accidents do happen and often speed is a factor:-( hugs Jan xx

Jan, for some inexplicable reason, the Utah Highway Patrol has increased the speed limit on some freeway sections from 65 to 70 mph. If it's true that speed kills (and it does), I am at a loss to explain their action. As for the limerick, it excels in idiocy (a truism you are much too nice to express).
