Big Love Part 3

As the boat came to the dock he prayed
that he’d never again be left alone,
He felt his heartbeat inside his chest because
a loving heart can’t be made of stone.

He made his way over to her
as she climbed down from her stand,
She started to get tangled in her robe
so he steadied her with his hand.

When they touched, both North
and South Americas were united,
And Jesus felt very welcomed
just like he’d been invited.

“Let me ask you a question
before you ask a single thing of me,”
“Tell me,” she asked playfully,
“are you yearning to breathe free?”

“I am,” he said and then asked her,
“Do you think that I might do?”
She said “You’re the perfect man for me
and I’ll always carry a torch for you.”

Sure they had their differences
And obstacles to defeat,
But they felt that the love they shared
made their lives complete.

Liberty said, “You represent the risen Lord and I
Stand for what makes this country great,
So I guess they’ll all just have to deal with it
this union of church and state.”
