Beyond from Walls of Sleep Deep dormant eyes forever weep Keep hells behind upon walls of sleep Dancing demons in rituals necromancing Glancing of gates admits infernos entrancing Damned words resonating of souls scammed Programmed lips through evil’s command Hellion hypnotic of minds dwelling Rebellion of thoughts forever yelling Contortions spread sanctioned abortions Distortions spread abandoned portions. ...in reverse Distortions spread abandoned portions Contortions spread sanctioned abortions Rebellion of thoughts forever yelling Hellion hypnotic of minds dwelling Programmed lips through evil’s command Damned words resonating of souls scammed Glancing of gates admits infernos entrancing Dancing demons in rituals necromancing Keep hells behind upon walls of sleep Deep dormant eyes forever weep. ...I took this a step further where the poem is reversed and each line is backward... Sleep of Walls from Beyond Portions abandoned spread distortions Abortions sanctioned spread contortions Yelling forever thoughts of rebellion Dwelling minds of hypnotic hellion Command evils through lips programmed Scammed souls of resonating words damned Entrancing infernos admits gates of glancing Necromancing rituals in demons dancing Sleep of walls upon behind hells keep Weep forever eyes dormant deep. ...perhaps no double meaning, but double fun... WW, the creativity on this was turned up to 11. It was definitely a bit of a mind bender to read and could have easily finished higher in the rankings. I personally (subjectively) had a hard time following the phrasings.

ok, on the "step further" you did what I was talking about. Awesome!! Did the judge clarify it needed to be one way or the other. I applaud you. I did this just once and it's extremely hard to do

Well Written stands for WW this time! I remember doing one in which every single word was also reversed, not just the lines. If it is only the lines we need worry about and not individual words, I think I might give this a go!!

Excellent WW! There is much more than meets the eye here. Double reversible, initial & ending rhyme, a topic to build on, etc. must have been time consuming, yet satisfying. Regards // paul

What an amazingly clever thing to do - to write a poem forwards and backwards and keep such integrity and purpose. I do believe you have created a new magnificent poem type, Winged Warrior. I am speechless. Reminds me of Coleridge's work; quite romantic also.
