'beyond Captivity'

Deborah Johnson, Copyright 2018. I can't be sure what she said, but as we were walking... her bright' eyes were looking straight ahead. I looked at her, but I didn't say...'we can't do that anyway.' I recalled where I stood; maybe she can, but I never could. What can it be like to think free, thinking...far beyond what I see? I've never had the freedom to think free (...).Why? Oh!...because...I live, and was born... in captivity.

I too have felt victim of prejudice thinking; by believing your poem didn't address the idea of my poem. However, I was completely wrong in my thinking because your poem is on point without accusations of any group. Only those who have had similar walks and experiences would be able to understand. Your poetry depicts a sound mind and extreme talent. I am sorry to have taken this long to realize your talent and accuracy. A beautiful poem; by a most talented poetry. Peace be unto you alway, friend for life...from an old lady with a heart for Jesus of Nazareth.
