Beyond a Fairy Tale
To live verily joyous forever
There in heaven with God
In His house of many mansions
Along streets of gold…
Is my Scripture-pictured story
Highlighting the Lord’s love and grace
Surpassing any glamorous fairy tale.
For today’s exploration of varied celestial rooms
I’m pleased to expose to your imagination
An awesome bedroom of delight
Filled with animated toys awaiting your visit
Ready to show how they blissfully became blessings
Through their kindness, gentleness, and helpfulness
To children, especially those with disabilities.
Ushering the young guests is David
One of your favorite Bible characters
Dressed in his shepherd boy attire.
“Welcome to my room,
See that Bible on the bed?
That’s the supreme book in this palace…
Manual of life with victory-instructions.”
When all visitors are seated comfortably,
He continues, “This Bible is authored by the Lord
Who wrote and showed the greatest love story ever told
Where we can find the John 3:16* I believe you can quote.”
As the children recite the verse, all the toys join them in chorus...
Then David plays with his harp, leading the crowd to sing “Alleluia”
Transforming the room into a children’s choir platform.
“Amazing! Praise be to the Saviour!”
Such is the ecstatic exclamation of David
Shaking each child’s hand for the worship song
They awesomely rendered, with pure faith.
“I will soon narrate to you about my sling
Used by God to slay Goliath.
Let us pray and give to the Lord all the glory He deserves.”
Such I will expound to my “special son”
Who loves listening to stories with visuals
Foremost are biblical events that manifest
The Almighty’s power, compassion, and miracles…
His healing, provisions, wonders
Specifically showcasing the Gospel of Jesus Christ
For our redemption, secured and sure.
*John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
