Bewildered

Thrown asunder in bewilderment
I list like a ship in a catatonic sea
inert in a perplexed state of confusion
thoughts drift in and out, going nowhere
unable to move forwards or backwards
I flounder helplessly in uncharted waters.

'I list like a ship in a catatonic sea/inert'... Fabulous! I love the ship metaphor. It reminds me of a scene in 'The Finest Hour', when a hulk of a damaged ship is seen just sitting there in the storm... (Won't spoil it for you) :-)

Thanks, Gershon! I was writing for the emotions contest, so hopefully I don’t always “list” in real life, lol! :)

this describes my own confusion with the side effects of Prolia. It actually makes me feel like a ship tossed on the sea (a wind blows through my body). Love this. I would hate to feel this way both emotionally and physically at the same time . Congrats.

All the waters of the ocean cannot sink a ship until they start getting inside; all the troubles in the world cannot sink a person until they start invading their inner life. Be well my dear friend.
