Between

between holding back and letting go i forgot the rough ride swept away in the riptide of your salt water sighs rising and falling in the buoyancy of your thighs sinking into the hot sand of an August sky polished smooth in the tumbling of your woman waves i follow the hollow of your wet sand footsteps washed away by the current until i understand why the ocean tastes like tears why love is besieged by fear and how we are saved from drowning by simply remaining here.
