Better Times
When the walls close in and the doors don't open
When the settling fog is just too thick to see
When you try and try, but can't get where you plan
Or you're plagued by something, dragging you downward
Stop; take a break, look upward, let silence comfort you
Hold onto faith, to be given strength and guidance
Take one small step at a time, even if one is an effort
Keep your eyes on the beauty that surrounds your place
The events of your life in the future are not seen yet
But in time, the events will evolve in a positive way
Hold onto your heart and let your inner soul be free
Go wherever you can to escape for the gift of freedom
Care for yourself in every way possible each day
Know that your life can be managed how you want
There is no way to avoid these phases of life
Arriving like seasons, but make us question so many things
A time when we feel lost or feel like a stranger in the world
Misunderstood, unheard, lonely or discounted
Find the simple things in this creation that bring light and joy
The pieces of the puzzle in these confusing times
You are special in your own way; in rain, snow or sun
Better times will always return softly after times of dismay
