Better Late Than Never

On March the 5th I wrote a poem –
The title was “Dear Jill,”
Which was a plea that maybe
The First Lady would help fill.

Of course, she never saw it
And my quest was not unique,
But had she followed common sense,
We’d not be up the creek.

The paddles now must be controlled
By a dynamic team
Which maybe, just 4 months ago,
Would’ve had a bit more steam.

Yet there’s a chance the tide will turn
And folks will recognize
This country needs a leader
Spreading dignity, not lies.

And who might that candidate be, i.e., the one who doesn't spread lies? That would be the first politician I've ever seen who doesn't, frankly... Call me Cynical

Funniest thing I’ve heard is the liberal media spin that Joe sacrificed himself for the good of the country. That Joe put his vanity aside and put America first lol. He had no intention of doing any such thing and was bullied into “passing the torch” - so hilarious. His donors dried up, his senior party overlords turned on him and his usually friendly media were actively knifing him. He’s a senile old corrupt fool who probably still thinks he should be the nominee. What a stain on America he has been. Should resign the Presidency immediately if he had any honour or integrity or clue.

I wonder if Mickey and Donald would consider running? The Rock? The Tooth Fairy? I hear someone suggested Mitt Romney. lol He's a Republican but he certainly doesn't like Trump. That man has no dignity or integrity and lives in an 'all about me' world. Good lines, Ilene.
